Ready to refresh your floors in 2025? More than ever flooring is being considered a design feature in the home and here’s a first look at what trends are set to define the year ahead.
In 2025 we are seeing a major comeback in traditional tiled flooring designs, reimagined in modern colourways, and more practical materials like LVT.
Taking centre stage is checkerboard flooring, in both large and small tile formats, allowing you to choose the scale and style that best complements your space.
Whether you opt for striking, vibrant hues or subtle, muted tones, it doesn’t matter – this trend invites you to embrace whatever colour scheme reflects your aesthetic.
For more contemporary or quirky spaces, swap out the checkerboard tiles in favour of modern geometric patterns such as our Luna design.
LVT Herringbone flooring has been a long time favourite, and you won’t be surprised to hear it’s here to stay for 2025. However, the spotlight is expanding to include more intricate patterns, such as weave and panel designs too.
These designs carry a sense of elegance associated with classic interiors, however they can be easily adapted for the modern home with fresh, contemporary shades like Naked Oak or Blonde Oak, creating beautifully expressive floors that balance tradition with a modernity.
It’s officially time to say goodbye to grey. Grey has been losing prominence throughout 2024 but its departure is becoming even more pronounced as we move into 2025.
In its place, a warmer palette of earthy and natural hues has fallen into favour. Think soft, natural wood tones, creating grounded, warm, and inviting spaces.
Whilst these tones are trending, they are also timeless and will withstand many years of trends and interior updates.
Light Oak Options: Fumed Oak Light, Naked Oak, Pale Oak
Medium Oak Options: Carpenters Oak, Regal Timber
We are craving cosiness, which means moving beyond flat surfaces and making way for tactile and organic textures.
One of our standout shades, Blonde Oak is a perfect example of the type of textured flooring we can expect to see in 2025. Its rich grain and shade variation creates a beautifully rustic look, perfect for layering and creating a warm and inviting look.
Rustic, textured flooring can be incorporated into a range of current interior styles – rustic minimalism, modern farmhouse, coastal and transitional.
Despite their differences, these styles all share the same goal, to infuse the home with beauty, warmth, and a sense of comfort.
Open-plan layouts will continue to dominate home design in 2025, and mixing flooring materials can help define spaces used for different activities such as cooking, dining and relaxing.
Combining smooth, sleek surfaces with rough, organic textures creates a striking and visually dynamic look whilst creating distinct zones.
With the ability to expertly mimic contrasting looks, like tiled flooring and authentic wood, LVT can achieve the appearance of mixed materials with the ease and practicality of a single product.
Depending on your style and preferences, mixing materials can be as subtle or bold as you like. For example here, our beige and cream Luna geometric design has been paired with Blonde Oak for a muted, contemporary scheme.
